CallTech Communications Selects Mustang Software’s New Internet Message Center™ Service Bureau Edition

Service Bureau Edition Gives Customer Service and Support Service Bureaus and Internet Service Providers the Tools to Offer E-mail Management Solutions to Clients

Bakersfield, California – May 13, 1999: Mustang Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSTG), the leading provider of e-mail management solutions, today announced that CallTech Communications, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio has implemented the Internet Message Center (IMC) Service Bureau Edition—the latest addition to its award-winning family of e-mail management solutions—to provide world-class customer service and support for their clients.

"We are honored that CallTech has chosen to work with Mustang to offer e-mail management services to their clients," said Jim Harrer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mustang Software. "CallTech’s tradition of providing outstanding third-party customer service and support services for a prestigious list of clients provides a very stable platform for the addition of Internet customer service."

A hybrid version of the well-established IMC Enterprise Edition package, the Service Bureau Edition is designed to be used by companies that provide customer service, customer support, or Internet services for multiple clients. By running multiple instances of the IMC server on a single computer, each with access to its own SQL database, service bureaus and Internet service providers (ISPs) can offer their clients a full compliment of e-mail management services, including access to IMC’s statistical reporting and real-time monitoring tools.

"IMC has always been a very popular tool for service bureaus and ISPs, but the one minor drawback has always been that there was no way to segregate each client’s data. The IMC Service Bureau Edition removes that limitation, making IMC an even more attractive solution for ISPs and service bureaus," explained Harrer.

"The IMC Service Bureau Edition is ideal for our business," said Todd Price, Chief Technology Officer for CallTech Communications. "We provide customer service and support for several Fortune 500 companies. IMC SB Edition allows us to serve multiple clients off of the same server, saves thousands on hardware and management costs."

Before deciding to use Mustang’s IMC, CallTech evaluated several e-mail management packages. "Dollar for dollar, IMC delivers the best performance at the lowest cost," said Mr. Price. "In addition, IMC outshines the others on resource requirements. Where others required several servers with huge amounts of RAM and processor power, IMC runs on a single NT box with 128MB of RAM. Just the difference in the hardware cost is a good reason to go with IMC."

CallTech’s Price also praised the intuitive design of IMC’s client applications. "The IMC Agent is easy to use and likewise easy to learn. In a contact center environment training time is pure cost on the bottom line. IMC’s ease of use allowed us to train our reps and have them responding to customer e-mail in less than an hour."
