The American Legion has named CallTech Communications LLC Florida
Employer of the Year in the large company category, based on its record
of hiring veterans for its call center in Fort Myers.
The local nomination for the legion’s annual awards program came from
the Fort Myers office of the state Agency for Workforce Innovation.
CallTech officials will receive a plaque of appreciation Wednesday at a
meeting of the Employer Service Center Advisory Council.
Columbus, Ohio-based CallTech provides phone- and Internet-based service
and support to customers of client companies. According to the
nominating letter, CallTech employed 70 veterans in Fort Myers as of
late November. The local office had a total work force of about 230 in
February, but aimed to add 75 employees this spring.
